Carborundum is a silicate mineral. Carborundum raw materials can be divided into several grades after simple processing. Generally, it is brown powdery particles, which are made by screening and grading. The hardness is very high, about 7-8 degrees on the Mohs scale. After grinding, it can be used as grinding powder, polishing paper, and the friction surface of grinding wheels and whetstones.

The grinding force of natural corundum is slightly lower than that of white corundum from the furnace, but its volition is strong, and it has the characteristic shell-like segmental mouth. The grinding surface is fine and uniform, which improves the quality of the product. Natural corundum has a short grinding time, a high profit, and a low price, which compensates for its short life.

Features:
1. High-quality surface treatment. During the blasting process, the emery can penetrate deep into the caves and pits of the surface and reach the bare surface of the metal, thus completely removing all rust, water-soluble salts, and other contaminants. The treated metal surfaces are very clean, with no inserts, and the quality easily reaches the SA3 level of the SIS standard.
2. Environmental: Unlike regular blasting materials, corundum sand is a naturally occurring, non-toxic mineral. It does not contain free silica, which can cause silicosis, nor toxic heavy metals or radioactive contaminants. During operation, due to the relatively large proportion of products, dust is rarely generated, effectively ensuring the health of the operators. In addition, the low consumption and recyclable nature of the product can greatly reduce the amount and cost of waste disposal after the product is used.
3. Recycling: Carborundum is very suitable for many fields. Under normal conditions, it can be reused five times. If it does not lose its cutting power after five cuts, the number of cycles can be even larger. Without the ability to cut, carborundum can still be used. Recycled carborundum is used in the construction industry as a cement additive, without the need to replace existing sandblasting equipment, and at a moderate and cost-effective price.
