Product Description

PTXFT series cyclone dust collector is a pretreatment device for dust removal equipment.

PTXFT Cyclone dust collectors are designed specifically for high dust load, high temperature, and product recovery applications.​ It has a mechanical separator that uses centrifugal force to remove dust particulates from the air in industrial applications. Dusty air enters the cyclone and the dust particles travel around the inner wall of the cyclone. As the particles lose their velocity, they drop lower in the cyclone until they drop into the receptacle below.

For the capture and separation of coarser particles of dust above 5µm, the purification efficiency is very good, so this equipment is widely used in mining, metallurgy, refractory materials, building materials, coal, chemical, and power industries.

However, the purification efficiency of the cyclone dust collector for finer particle dust below 5-10µm (especially the fine particle dust with low density) is very low, so the cyclone separator is generally suitable for single-stage purification of coarse particle dust or for the primary pretreatment of the multi-stage purifications.

When the dust-laden airflow enters the cyclone separator from the intake pipe at a speed of 12-25m/s, the airflow will change from linear motion to circular motion. Most of the swirling airflow flows downward in a spiral shape along the wall of the device and flows toward the cone. Centrifugal force moves the heavy dust to the interior sidewalls and carries them to the base of the unit. Clean air is carried through the inner cylinder and discharges to the atmosphere or optional after-filters.
